Hello. My name is Hyeyoung Jung.
I’m a student of Kyunghee Graduate School, majoring in Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language. I want to conduct a survey for my thesis. This survey is designed to find out the actual conditions and needs for self-studying learners of the Korean language. The result of this survey will be used only for my thesis.
However, I’ll try my best to support those needs and I want the result to be reflected somehow to make things better for learners of the Korean language. If you are interested in helping this to happen or just want to help me, please spare about 5 minutes and take part in the survey. It’s done online, you just need several clicks on your choices and possibly, short answers or comments.
This is the link of the survey.
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me.

future-kteacher has been a long time contributer to this site via comments. If you are learning Korean I highly encourage you to fill out her survey. Anything to further the state of KFL is worth it in my opinion.
호랑이 굴에들어가야 호랑이 새끼를 잡는다
after you fill it out, does it give you rankings for everybody or just for you? I found only my onw results, was I the first one to take the survey?
Anybody?
I did it a couple of days ago and there were result for 4 people. If you did it around that time, then it’s possible you were number one.
호랑이 굴에들어가야 호랑이 새끼를 잡는다
When I first started the survey, I made it possible for everybody to see the result of the survey. But there were questions for personal information, and someone(I think it was actually 왕음치님) adviced me to make it hidden.
I asked the technical guy from the company who provided that survey tool, but he said it’s not possible(maybe it IS possible but troublesome) to hide only part of the answers. All or none.
So I had to decide not to show it at all, which was really 아쉬웠다(I don’t know how to describe this in English).
However, I’ll make sure I share the result with everybody who joined the survey and left their emails.
By the way, now there are 134 people who did the survey.
Yes, Joseph, you were the first one.
And after first 5 or so, the result link was blocked.
Yes it was me. I didn’t want my email address public. Everything else was fine. Sorry for the trouble.
I believe 아쉽다 is this situation means dissatisfied.
호랑이 굴에들어가야 호랑이 새끼를 잡는다
I completely agree that I shouldn’t put the e-mail addresses in the survey public.
In the first place, I just didn’t think about it.
and I really thank you for letting me know.
What I was 아쉽다 about was that if you could see the result right after you fiil the survey out, it would be really nicer, but due to the lack of my technical ability, I couldn’t make that happen. I just had to hide it all.
In this situation, is 아쉽다 still translated to ‘dissatisfied’?
I would say a combination of frustrated and dissatisfied. I understand your feelings. Anyhow the most important thing is that you get data for your thesis.

Ha great! I was the first one!
And wow! 134 people. That seems like a success to me.
i tried to submit the survey, but not sure if it went thru. so if you see two of the same survey results, it may have been me. i also sent it to your hotmail addy.
