Book Review: Korean Classroom Metalanguage

I recently put together this list of Korean metalingual words and phrases with their English and hanja translations. It has things such as how to say the parts of speech, the honorific/speech styles, etc. I also just added a section with words that are commonly used to explain grammatical patterns in the classroom. For example, the teacher might use the words 이유 (reason) and 결과 (result) to explain the conjunction 그래서 (therefore). I plan to add to this list as I learn more words, so feel free to leave a comment to suggest more entries. Here it is in two formats:

  • HTML - good for on screen viewing
  • PDF - good for saving or printing

왕음치 speaking: I’ve tried to leave a comment on this entry and the template breaks. I’m not sure why as this is the only entry that everything breaks, but I am working to fix it.
