안녕하세요~
저는 필립입니다.
한국어 잘못해요… ㅠㅠ

Wow~
This thing is off and running already...great to see it~
And again I say WOW~ You guys are obviously WAY ahead of me in the language...hopefully I’ll look back in a few months and understand what you wrote in your posts.  Maybe my writing can be for the beginners among us… It’ll be a bit of time before I post in Korean, but I always like being the underdog~

  1. 와, 해봐고 잘 할 수 있을거예요!

As one of my friends used to say to his students: “Are you ready to 열심?!?!?”

As for feeling inadequate, well, we all have Joel to look up to. My God, that paragraph is just… wow. My girlfriend says it’s written better than a lot of native Korean speakers would write. Congrats, Joel. 좋겠다!

My wife said that she thought he might have copied it from the internet, but when she translated for me, I realized that it was too personal to have been copied.

I wrote a little explanation of the process of reaching my final draft below the entry and included my first draft so you could see that it didn’t start out the way it looks now.

(While the Korean might be correct now, the writing is still not good enough to have been copied from anywhere it’s still as scattered as my thoughts and writing ever are. Talking about food one minute and my thoughts the next and always failing to come up with any solid conclusions. I thought that because I had to think harder to write in Korean it might help focus my thoughts and my writing. I was wrong. smile )
