I was wondering if 5,000 per beer was worth conversing in Korean with a beautiful girl? Ugh. I really can’t understand it. My friend’s got a problem with going into those places, and we always drop more than a dime in there.

아이고, 아깝다. 5,000 per beer. Well, first we spent 8,000 for a bottle of budweiser ... for each, so that was 16,000. To talk to a 19 year old, when he’s 28 and I’m 34? Then we went to another place and bought a bottle of tequila for 120,000 and 2 beers for 10,000 so the total for alcohol was 147,000 won. That’s just insane. “To TALK about NOTHING” as my girlfriend says. 비치다? 내 돈을 모르는 여자한테 주는 게 원래 의심스러웠어요. 어떤 남자가 그렇게 하기가 좋더라고 하는데요. 내입장으로부터 보면 차라리 이태원가서 그돈하고 정말 belge, 독일의 , UK의 정말 맛있는 맥주를 사서 마시는게 더 이성적이라고 하는데.... guinness이 one pint @ 8,000원에서 엄창한 비싼데다가 우리가 익숙해왔는대로 마시고 놀고 여자들로부터 또 강도당의 느낌이 없으서 좋아요. or is it just me.

그럴 땐 ‘내가 미쳤지!!’라고 해요. 하하하~
이태원에서 맥주 마셔본 적 없어요.
진짜 유럽 맥주같은 걸 파는 데가 있나보죠?

but, we don’t eat and drink, so you’ll just be nursing your brew. I got to watch the superbowl. it was fantastic. a true piece of american television. just lately, i thought how cool if those flower-carrying 아줌마 would come up with a pizza, now that would be great. I saw these guys in BRIX once steal 4 of the man’s straw hats. Wasn’t really my business, I was a little drunk at the time. 술쨍이. 알코홀중독자. 나. 지금 북한에 가는 버스기사님이 저한테 주신 북한술: 맛이없어.

설사나. 독이야. but the bottle is beatufiul. square, what nice corners, and the Keiser would be proud of the golden cap. Classical communism at its best.

geez, i might as well be in the sauna reading the plaque about 자수정이 (?)

oh, my goodness!
you’d have added water to the 북한술(들쭉정액) and have drunken it.
it is NOT a 술.
i think that it is a sort of medicine.

That’s a good laugh. It says 40% on the bottle. But it was whited out and written over, so I think they’re just estimating. But I drank my korean roommate’s kimchi juice in college before I knew other people didn’t do that. So, I can’t really go by flavor.
