The Korea Foundation Cultural Center Offers free Korean language classes for foreigners residing in Korea. The classes, led by Korea Foundation volunteer teachers, are held at 7:00-9:00 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Anyone interested in learning Korean language and willing to participate in the language class is welcome to join.

< About our Korean classes>
• Each class starts in the first week of every month.
• Each class meets once a week.
• Each class takes 12 weeks to finish (except advanced class).
• After finishing one level, students can proceed to the next level by passing a test.
• Students who have more than three unexcused absences cannot move to the next level, regardless of their performance. If there are reasons why students have to miss a class, the teacher should be contacted and informed in advance.

Anyone, who stays in Korea for more than three months, is eligible to join the Korean class. Please come to registration at the Korea Foundation Cultural Center on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday at 18:30 ~ 20:30.

For registration you will need to produce one of the followings:
A valid passport, a valid visa, Student Card, Alien Certificate of Registration

The level test is required for all students, except beginners for the Hangeul class. To join the April class, all students registered by Wednesday, February 28 are required to come to the Seminar room of the Korea Foundation Cultural Center on Satureday, March 31 at 17:00. If you were not able to make the registration in advance, please come at 16:30 to fill out the registration form and to see if you can be added to the class.

The written test consists of 15 relatively simple questions. Intermediate class students and advanced class students will also be given a short oral test.

1. Hangeul (Korean alphabet) class (4 weeks)
This class is designed for students who are learning Korean for the first time. The focus is on how to read and write vowels and consonants.
2. Beginners class 1 / class 2 (4 weeks / 4 weeks)
In this class, students practice basic Korean conversation skills, from greetings to verb tenses.
3. Beginners class 3 (12 weeks)
In this class, students practice basic Korean conversation skills, from greetings to verb tenses.
4. Intermediate class 1/ Intermediate class 2 (12 weeks / 12 weeks)
This level will focus on fluency and accuracy by learning advanced grammar and conversation.
5. Advanced class
This class is designed to help advanced students to improve their Korean to near native-like fluency. Students will also study TV commercials to learn Korean.

한국국제교류재단의 국제교류 자원봉사자들이 이끌어 가는 한국어교실은 한국에 거주하는 외국인들을 위해 무료로 운영되는 한국어교육 프로그램입니다. 외국인들이 자원봉사자 교사들과의 공부를 통해 한국어와 한국문화를 쉽고 재미있게 배우고 한국생활에 쉽게 적응할 수 있도록 돕고자 합니다.

<한국어교실 소개>
• 개강은 매월 첫 번째 해당요일입니다.
• 각 수업은 1주일에 한 번 수강 할 수 있습니다.
• 각 단계 정규과정은 12주로 구성됩니다. <고급반 제외>
• 수업과정을 수료한 후 승급시험을 거쳐 다음 단계로 진급합니다.
• 한 달에 두 번 이상 결석을 할 경우, 다음 반 진급이 불가능합니다.
<결석하는 경우에는 담당선생님께 미리 연락해 주시기 바랍니다.>

<수강대상 및 신청방법>
한국 내 체류기간이 수업개시일로부터 3개월 이상인 주한외국인은 누구나 수강 할 수 있습니다. 수강신청자는 월요일, 수요일, 금요일 저녁 6시30분부터 8시30분까지 문화센터에 직접 방문하여 수강신청서를 작성하시면 됩니다.

이때 아래 항목 중 하나를 갖고 오셔야 합니다.
만료기일 전의 유효한 여권, 비자 사본, 학생증, 외국인 등록증

<레벨테스트>
한국어교실 수강희망자는 월요일, 수요일, 금요일<18:30~20:30> 항시 수강을 신청할 수 있으나, 레벨테스트를 받은 후에 수업배정을 받게 됩니다.

4월에 한국어교실 수강을 희망하는 분들께서는 3월 31일<토>저녁 5시까지 문화센터 2층 세미나실로 오시기 바랍니다. 2월 28일까지 수강신청을 하신 분께 우선적으로 레벨테스트의 기회를 드립니다. 미처 수강신청을 하지 못하신 분들은 3월 31일<토> 4시 30분까지 오셔서 신청서를 작성한 후, 레벨테스트 안내를 받으시면 됩니다. 다만, 정원초과로 마감되는 반의 경우 다음 달에 수강하셔야 합니다.

레벨 테스트는 한글반을 제외한 초급1,2,3 과 중•고급반의 변별을 위해서 실시되는 것으로 간단한 질문에 답하는 객관식 문제<각 15문항>로 이루어져 있습니다. 중•고급반의 경우 말하기 테스트를 위한 간단한 인터뷰도 진행됩니다.

※ 한글반의 경우 레벨테스트가 없으며, 수강신청 후 담당자의 안내를 직접 받으시길 바랍니다.

한국어 지식이 전혀 없는 외국인들이 한글의 자음과 모음을 습득할 수 있는 기초단계.
2. 초급반1/초급반2 <각각 4주>
일상생활에 필요한 인사말에서부터 동사변화와 같은 기초적인 한국어를 익힐 수 있는 단계. 각종 시청각자료, 게임, 역할극을 통한 실제 활용.
3. 초급반3 <12주>
생활 속에서 여러 가지 상황 별 주제를 정하여, 일상에서 유용하게 쓰이는 회화를 연습할 수 있는 단계<초급반2를 마친 분에 한하여 승급시험 후 수강 가능>
4. 중급반1/ 중급반2 <각각 12주>
문법심화와 회화연습에 중점을 둠으로써 한국어의 유창성과 정확성을 학습할 수 있는 단계.
5. 고급반
실제 한국인들의 생활 속에서 쓰이는 표현들을 TV광고와 여러 시청각 자료들을 통해 공부하여 보다 자연스러운 회화능력을 키울 수 있는 단계.

안녕하세요? 저의 이름은 김 지 원 이라고 합니다.

몇일전부터 한국어 배우기Podcast 작업을 학고 있습니다.

하지만 저는 한국인 이기 때문에 외국분 들이 한국어를 배울

때 느끼시는 어려움을 잘 모릅니다.

한국어 와 한국문화를 알리기 위한 마음에 시작하였습니다.
