오늘은 문법이 -ㄴ/는 답시고 이예요. 그런데 수업이 동안에 잘 모르겠드라구요. 저의 아내한테 집에 오자마자 이것 데해서 질문 묻었서, 지금 조금 알라요. textbook 설명:

이유를 나타낼 때 쓰는데, 그 이유는 말하는 사람의 마음에 드지 않는 이유이거나, 말하는 사람이 생각할 때 이유같지 않은 이유라고 생각할 때이 유형을 사용한다. 빈정거리는 말투이다.
공부한답시고 도서관에 가서 하루종일 잠만 잤어요.
이렇게 맛이 없는 걸 음식이람시고 만드었어요.

My basic understanding from my wife is that the person who uses this grammer point is nagging the reciever. So in the first example sentence a rough translation would be: you went to the library to study but all you did was sleep - of course intonation would be important here as well. I’m sure there is a little more nuance involved but roughly that’s how I understand it.

얼마나 -은/는지 몰라요

형태로 그 정도가 아주 심함을 강조하는 말.
우리 사무릴의 리어머니, 기무장님이 출장시기를 얼마나 기다렸는지 몰라요.

rough translation of the sample sentence: I’m really waiting for Manager Kim, who is like a nagging mother-in-law, to go on a business trip. This grammar is used to add emphasis to the verb. It can probably be translated, depending on context, as; looking forward to..., really + V, or truely + V. I realize that this may not be a word for word translation, but I’m going more for the feeling of the meaning of this particular grammar.

일부 동작동사나 상태동사에 붙어서 쓰이며, 종결어미 ‘-(ㄴ/는)다’에 ‘-ㅂ시고’가 결합한 형태로, 이다동사에는 ‘-(이)랍시고’를 쓴다. 긍정적인 의미를 가진 동사나 자랑을 나타내는 동사하고만 어울린다.

주어가 어떤 일을 잘하려고 하거나 혹은 자랑스러운 상태로 만들려고 하는데 화자가 보기에는 그 결과가 만족스럽지 않아 빈정거릴 때 쓴다. 주어가 1인칭일 때는 자조 섞인 말이 된다.
