cooking question

Total words: 110

Hi all,

I think I was a little overly ambitious when I bought a Xmas present for my korean friend.  I bought a cookbook, since he has mentioned that he wants to learn how to make a cake and other desserts.  I can generally translate/explain the non-technical cooking parts.  But I’m having issues with more “technical terms” like “sift” (as in flour) and other things which are probably not found in korean cookbooks…. I was wondering if anyone knows a web site that might be useful to help translate a couple recipies.  Also, does anyone know if koreans in general use mixers (like those stand-up mixers/blenders)?

Thanks a lot,
수미
