영화대본

Total words: 181

Then type 올드보이 in the search blank at the bottom. No. 2 might be a better choice. It seems the first one is an old script and it’s a little bit different from the movie if you check the comments.

Btw, do you have 한글 2005? You need it to open .hwp files. But you can also just get the free 한글 viewer here if you don’t have it:

Yeah I already visited and downloaded a script for one of the DVDs I own.

팹시맨

Total words: 29

Just ok.

YouTube but Korean

Total words: 166

I would like to add some short video watching to my Korean practice time but don’t know where to look. I tried searching, briefly, but my search terms didn’t work out for me.

Basically I would like to know some Korean sites similar to youtube or google video but primarily in Korean. Thanks for your help.

email response
I recieved a reply via email by a regular commenter who is having trouble with comments and posting entries

http://www.pandora.tv—> This one is most popular.
http://aura.damoim.net
http://www.mncast.com
http://afreeca.pdbox.co.kr

I checked out the sites linked above and only one of them allows you to embed the video in your own blog. The other three don’t allow that; additionally they require the installation of evil activeX controls. I installed just to check out the sites, but will be removing them shortly. Anyhow all the sites are good to check out short Korean videos but I’ll be sticking with http://www.mncast.com as I can embed the video here and ask for help.

sat morning lessons available

Total words: 48

I take korean lessons at the church on saturday mornings. It’s open to all foreigners whether or not we go to church, so that’s cool.
It’s 11 AM at 온누리 교회 in 서빙고 역 in 서울.
교육비 is 20,000
in the building next to the church 3rd floor.

Foreigners studying Korean

Total words: 118

In my elementary school class today I said 한국어는 외국일을 위한 한 언어가 안입니다.  Korean is not for foreigners.  They were so agreeing with me, they had no idea that I was a foreigner, their acceptance of this statement was 100% unconditional as true.  Such blatant across-the-board conviction.  I was floored.  I know understand why I get compliments, and then the conversation stops.  Nevertheless, despite these barriers, Korean is truly good for conversing with those who do not know English.  If a Korean knows English, the foreigner will lose.  However, in a case where the counterpart doesn’t speak English, appreciation is given in private when he/she is glad they can talk in a relaxed manner with the foreigner.

the american sickness

Total words: 92

can you figure out what she’s talking about here?  She says ......
the American sickness? have you heard of it? always 우리 이웃이 갖고 있는 것을 기지고 싶은 욕심을 은육적으로 다르는 표현이죠.  don’t Americans all believe the grass is greener on the other side?  if Koreans do it for security—love of family, I do it for the chic factor. And, yes, I want a BMW convertible and 60만원 cowboy 부츠
